Frequently Asked Questions

Why catamarans?

Catamarans combine the perfect mix of sailing, comfort and social space. These types of yachts are stable and spacious offering a fantastic space, making it ideal for friends and families looking to relax and spend time together on the water. The cockpit, highlight of catamarans is huge, since it spans over both hulls.
The cockpit and the salon are on the same level, which enhances the feeling of light and spaciousness, along with the typical huge panoramic windows.
The foredeck area is very large as well and sports a big pair of nets between the hulls, the notorious trampolines, which make a great sun bathing area. In any, it is a great observation spot and a kids' favorite.
The key fact is that catamarans have a phenomenal stability and maneuverability. They do not heel under way and do not roll at anchor. This usually makes seasickness a non-event. Incidentally, it makes it somewhat safer for kids running around.

How many people can the catamaran accommodate?

All our catamarans can host 8 adults in 4 comfortable cabins with their own en suite facilities. We don't recommend anyone sleeping in the saloon since it can't be fully blacked out and the mattresses haven't been designed for sleeping on. In all events, no more than 12 guests are permitted for safety reasons (life rafts, vessel protocols, etc.)

Why do I need a skipper?

Skippered sailing charters are perfect for less experienced sailors looking for a relaxing break. Even expert sailors can benefit from a skippered yacht charter, getting a chance to relax and enjoy a stress-free holiday.
The skipper is the person who knows how to handle any adverse situations that might arise at sea, and who in most cases can immediately fix anything that's broken so that you ruin your holidays for nothing. Also, he ensures that you feel safe, knowing the best anchoring spots, local conditions and depths in the area.
Furthermore, when a boat is constantly used only by a professional, it can be kept in excellent condition, releasing you in the case of damage. Finally, a skipper will make your trip more interesting suggesting beautiful places that are less well known.

If the catamaran is damaged who takes liability?

If the charter is skippered, any damage to the catamaran due to natural causes or erroneous manoeuvres, while at sea or anchored, are covered by the skipper. The charterer is only liable if he causes damage to the equipment or furniture, etc. Those are covered by deposit.
In case of a bareboat charter, if you or your party cause damage or loss to the vessel (howsoever caused) or to property belonging to a third party you will be liable for the damage up to the value of the security deposit paid at the base.
If you or your party cause damage or loss to the vessel, any ancillary equipment or to property belonging to a third party and such damage or loss is caused as a result of your gross negligence or reckless conduct you will be liable for the full extent of the loss suffered and our right to claim against you will not be limited or waived in any way by the payment of the security deposit.

Are pets allowed ?

No, pets are not allowed on any charters.
